Will it Float?

What materials have the capacity to float? Do rocks? Actually, pumas rocks float because of how they were made. Pumas rocks are created when boiling lava meats water, the lava cools to form the hollow shell of the pumas rock. Pumas is pronounced, p-u-m-a-s, pum as in hum.

If an object contains air or is flat ad thin, it will float. A boat contains air and is surounded by air, therefore, no matter how heavy, some part of it will always be on the suface.

Silent Ball

Instructions:

The class sits on chairs or on the floor around the room. When you're in your spot you cannot change places. A ball is thrown around the room from one person to another. If you talk, laugh or make any sound, you are out. If the ball touches the ground the person who threw it is out. If it is a fair throw, and you don't catch the ball, you are out. When you are out, you can, one at a time, point out those who are out. Apart from that, you cannot talk. As you get good at it you can add rules like:

You cannot throw to someone your own gender

You cannot throw to the person who threw it to you

The ball becomes a hot potato

The people who are out can quietly try to intercept the ball

NOTE: This is a quiet game for students with no self control and teachers who have headaches.
